Hi there!
“Doing something you love and getting paid for it” has been the thought running through my mind this week. What a dream! What a delight. As I get older, I crave this state, and I hope to achieve it sooner rather than later.
Here’s my reading highlight:
Call of the Dragon (Dragon Riders of Elantia #1) by Jasmine Walt
4 stars
I love dragons, especially baby dragons! The book was well-written and engaging, with a strong plot. It was a joy watching Lessie grow and speak much more maturely than her age. I was not too fond of Jallis; I felt the emotional connection was irrelevant in this book.
I enjoyed this much more than Eragon. Eragon’s narrative was childlike, while this book was for a mature audience.
One thing I wish could have been changed is how short the book is. The author could have turned the series into three rather than six books. This would make for a better reading experience and cheaper commitment -.-
